Your loving husband and Dad

To Liz and the boys - I worked with Neil when he was the Commercial Director in the Group in which I worked.  Whilst figures blurred before my eyes and sloshed around in my head, Neil's laser guided thinking was always on top of them, calmly and thoughtfully installing order on chaos, looking out for me, keeping me on the straight and narrow.  His role fitted the character of a man who believed in doing what is right, in doing it to the very best of your ability, in reflection and challenge, and (once decided) in absolute commitment.  If that sounds serious, then you should know all this was delivered with a dry and cheeky sense of humour, a clever wit, and a gentle understanding of the foibles of human nature.  We will miss him at Gowling, but grateful that he chose to spend some time with us.  As a loving wife and loving sons, you had someone very special for a while, and all he gave you and all taught you will live on in the memories he has left for you.  May you have many days sharing all those cheering and the funny memories of a man who would have wanted nothing else but for you to live life happy.
